On October 5th at 8:15 pm, Sat.1 is moving „Celebrity Big Brother“ to primetime. Not after 10 pm. Not „sometime in the fall“. Monday evening, live.
Ten names are confirmed. The rest of the list is open. Anyone who presents this as a complete field of participants is mistaken.
When does Celebrity Big Brother 2026 start – and where will it be shown?
Season 14 begins on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 8:15 p.m. on Sat.1. It will also be streamed simultaneously on Joyn. The show is then scheduled to air daily during prime time , according to the broadcaster.
What Sat.1 has n’t yet published as a binding plan: the exact time slot after episode 1. Therefore, online portals are calculating 15 evenings between October 5th and 19th. This is an estimate, not an official schedule. Anyone who plans their TV accordingly risks a change in the broadcast time.
Joyn remains the platform for the 24-hour live stream from the garden. Missed TV episodes will be available in the media library. Sat.1 sells tickets for the live shows in Cologne via myshow.de.
Immediately following the main show is „Celebrity Big Brother – The Late Night Show,“ also live. Afterwards, the stream continues into the night.

The motto „Garden“ – and why the container comparison is flawed.
Big Brother is sending the celebrities into his garden in 2026. Trailer tagline: not for the faint of heart. Sat.1’s slogan on reveal night: „Only the tough ones make it into the garden.“
The station manager, Marc Rasmus, left the exact appearance of the set open in Düsseldorf. Anyone already sketching out floor plans of interiors, flowerbeds, and sleeping areas is simply speculating.
Production: EndemolShine Germany with Rainer Laux Productions on behalf of Sat.1.
Who’s hosting – and why late-night television sounds different
Main show: Marlene Lufen and Jochen Schropp again .
The real change is the late-night show. Melissa Khalaj is leaving after twelve years. Jochen Bendel will host alone, from the large studio, in front of a live audience. Sat.1 confirmed this to t-online in mid-September: new stage, guests, „new look.“ The network did not specify a reason for the change in content.
Bendel added: Melissa is irreplaceable. He expects a studio full of people to provide support.
Anyone who has once been part of the Big Brother family stays in the family – a reunion is not out of the question, according to Sat.1.
The program battle in the same week
- October isn’t just the start of Celebrity Big Brother. RTL is also scheduling the €3 million week of „Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?“ that same week. „Summer House of the Stars“ is being dropped from its slot on October 6th.
Those who want reality TV have a clear destination in the evenings: Sat.1. Those who want quizzes can change the channel. The ratings will determine whether Primetime Big Brother remains as it is in 2027.
What you should specifically do on October 5th
Tune in to Sat.1 at 8:15 pm or open Joyn. Remember the names, but leave room for latecomers. Catch up on Late Night afterwards if you want to see the first round of contestants and the new stage.
On opening night, double-check the official participant list against Sat.1/Joyn. Early reveals can change.
